A Cookie Storm is a rare effect where dozens of small cookies rain down; clicking them all gives a huge bonus. A Cookie Chain is a sequence where multiple Golden Cookies appear in rapid succession, each worth more than the last.
Q8: What are Wrinklers?
Wrinklers are creatures that appear during the Grandmapocalypse and latch onto your Big Cookie. While attached, they reduce your CpS by 5% each (up to 10 Wrinklers). However, when you pop them, they return 1.1x more cookies than they ate — making them a net positive. Let them feast and pop them periodically.
Q9: How do Sugar Lumps work?
Sugar Lumps grow on your cookie over time (1 new Lump every ~24 hours). You can spend them to level up buildings, unlocking minigames and bonus effects. Prioritize leveling Farm (Garden), Bank (Stock Market), Temple (Pantheon), and Wizard Tower (Grimoire).
Q10: What does ascending do?

Q11: What is Milk and why does it matter?
Milk is a percentage that increases by 1% for each achievement you earn. Combined with Kitten upgrades, Milk multiplies your total CpS by a large factor. More achievements = more milk = faster cookies.
Q12: How do I unlock the Garden minigame?
Spend 1 Sugar Lump to level up your Farm to Level 1. This unlocks the Garden, where you can plant and cross-breed special plants for passive bonuses.
Q13: What is the best plant in the Garden?

Q14: How does the Stock Market minigame work?
Unlocked by leveling the Bank building, the Stock Market lets you buy and sell stocks (representing buildings). Buy low, sell high during Frenzies to earn large cookie bonuses. It’s one of the more complex minigames but very rewarding.
Q15: What spells should I cast in the Grimoire?
Force the Hand of Fate is the most valuable — it spawns a guaranteed Golden Cookie. Cast it during a Frenzy to potentially trigger a Frenzy + Click Frenzy combo worth billions of cookies. Conjure Baked Goods gives a big instant cookie boost. Avoid Spontaneous Edifice early — it buys a random building which can waste resources.
Technical Questions
Q16: Why did my save disappear?

Q17: Can I transfer my save between browsers?
Yes! Export your save string from one browser (Options → Export Save), then import it in the new browser (Options → Import Save). The save string contains all your progress.
Q18: Does Cookie Clicker work offline?
Cookie Clicker has an offline production system. When you return after being away, you receive a portion of the cookies your buildings would have produced (capped at a few hours of production). The “Chocolate egg” upgrade (Easter event) dramatically boosts this offline gain.
