Cookie Clicker 2 — Fan Edition
Cookie Clicker 2 on this page is our own fan-made edition: the full Cookie Clicker v2.058 by Orteil, with a set of new systems built on top through the game's official mod support. It is free, runs in your browser and keeps its own save, so it never touches your bakery on the classic Cookie Clicker page.
Is there an official Cookie Clicker 2? No. Orteil and DashNet have not released a game called Cookie Clicker 2. The current official game is Cookie Clicker version 2.058, which is also on Steam and Android. This edition is unofficial and is not made or endorsed by Orteil.
🛠 What Cookie Clicker 2 fixes
Same core game, new interface. Each change answers something that bothers players of the original:
- A real phone layout. The original shrinks the whole desktop screen to fit a phone. Cookie Clicker 2 shows one screen at a time at full size, with tabs at the bottom: Bake, Store and Buildings.
- Every building tells you what it is worth. Each store row shows the cookies per second it adds, how long it takes to pay for itself and how long until you can afford it, instead of hiding that in a tooltip.
- Buy max. The original only lets you sell in bulk to the maximum. Here one click buys as many of a building as you can afford.
- Something happens while you are away. Without the Twin Gates heavenly upgrade the original bakes nothing while the tab is closed. Cookie Clicker 2 keeps baking at 10% speed for up to 8 hours and tells you what you earned when you come back.
- A warmer, cleaner look. Chocolate-and-gold panels, a store made of readable cards, and no promotional links crowding the top bar.
✨ What's new in Cookie Clicker 2
- All-new art — the big cookie, golden and wrath cookies (with their own Halloween, Christmas, Valentine's and Easter looks), every building in the store and in the bakery rows, 20 kinds of grandma, the backgrounds and about 1,000 upgrade and achievement icons are drawn fresh for this edition.
- Click Streak — click the big cookie steadily and a bar fills up, adding up to +50% click power (+100% with the Steady Hands upgrade). Stop clicking and it drains after a second and a half.
- Bakery Quests — three rotating goals (bake cookies, click the cookie, buy buildings, catch golden cookies, cookies from clicking) sized to your current bakery. Each one pays 5 minutes of production and 10 minutes of Momentum: +10% CpS, stacking up to an hour.
- Daily Oven — once a day, open the oven for 30 minutes of production and 15 minutes of Momentum. Coming back on consecutive days adds 10% per day, up to +60%.
- Best Buy — the building with the shortest payback time (price divided by the CpS it adds, plus the time to afford it) gets a gold outline in the store.
- Golden cookie alert — a chime, a glow on the CC2 panel and a flashing tab title when a golden cookie appears, so you notice it even in another tab.
- CC2 shop — five new upgrades bought with cookies: Steady Hands, Second Wind, Bigger Quest Board, Golden Oven and Momentum Mastery.
- 8 trophies for the new systems, from In the zone (fill the streak bar) to Guild master (100 quests).
🎮 How to play
- Play exactly like Cookie Clicker: click the big cookie, buy buildings and upgrades, chase golden cookies, ascend.
- Watch the Cookie Clicker 2 panel under the big cookie: it shows your streak, your quests, Momentum and the Daily Oven button.
- Open CC2 shop & trophies on the panel to buy the new upgrades and switch Best Buy or the golden cookie alert off.
- Click ☁ Sign in to save at the top to keep this edition's save on our server as well.

Is this the official Cookie Clicker 2?
No. There is no official Cookie Clicker 2. This is an unofficial fan edition built on Cookie Clicker v2.058 using the game's mod support. Everything from the original game is here; the new systems are ours.
Does it use my classic Cookie Clicker save?
No, it starts a fresh bakery and saves separately. If you want to bring your classic bakery over, use Export save on the classic page and Import save in the Options menu here.
Do the new bonuses unbalance the game?
They speed things up a little. Momentum is +10% CpS (+20% with Momentum Mastery) and the click streak only affects clicking, so idle play is close to the original.
Is the game unblocked at school?
It is an ordinary web page with nothing to install, so it opens on a school Chromebook like any other page. If your school network blocks the site, it stays blocked.
